Hey just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate you having this feed of the lake! I work in a clammy office all day so I am constantly checking out this website. My family has a camp right on Sylvan Beach so I love seeing a lake that isn't iced over! Thanks again!

IS THAT YOUR DOCK DOWN BY THE BEACH AREA? IF SO IT'LL BE FUN TO SEE THE ACTION OUT ON THE WATER WHEN BOATS DOCK AT YOUR PLACE. HOW FAR OUT CAN YOU WALK AND STILL STAND IN THE WATER? YOUR PLACE IS THE PERFECT SPOT. JUST LOVE IT. IT'S BEEN FUN COMING EVERYDAY AND CHECKING OUT THE LAKE.

I hear the water level is very low. North shore is suppose to be out around 100 to 150 feet. Is this true?

It is definitely lower than summer levels but I think it is pretty close to normal for this time of year.

Oneida Lake Love Affair

I inherited my love of Onedia Lake from my father who enabled my mom, sister and I many wonderful weekends, summers and finally year-around living. From a boat on a trailer to a cabin and finally a retirement home, Oneida Lake was as natural to us as home. Location: we had property on Shaw Rd. just beyond Toad Harbor Lodge on the dirt road deadend at Poddygut Bay. I haven't been there in years. Live in Philly. But would love to take a long ride up there to behold the inevitable changes I'm sure have occured. Broke my heart that we couldn't hang on to the family house but it wasnt to be. I love checking the cam... it absolutely could be from the front of that house on that dirt road beyond Shaw Rd.

I was wondering if anyone had a photo of "Toad Harbor Lodge" on the North Shore of Oneida Lake Onondaga Co, NY. It was owned and operated by Eva and Irving Schopfer, West Monre. Would love a little history of the place.

Before we left for North Carolina in '74, we lived a mile or two above the town garage on Co. Rte 11, between Northway TP and Gerisch Well Drilling. We were good friends with the folks who owned the Red and White store at the corner on Rte. 49. Toad Harbor Lodge was one of our favorite eating places. Would anyone know if it's still in business? I enjoyed fishing for walleyes and bullheads in the Toad Harbor area.

Drive 15 is approximately 3/4 mile east of Godfrey Point, where the state boat launch is located; it is a private drive with 4 houses on the lake front and wood on the left.

Light winter this year

I was raised on the north shore when it was a good time and place for a boy to grow up (50's and 60's). I enjoy watching the lake, and see this winter has been pretty mild compared to what it could be. The Town of Webb (Old Forge) has several web cams, too. We vacation and visit relatives in the Syracuse area every year when we come up from North Carolina. Has there been any ice fishing this year?

Stumbled upon your webcam today...nice view of the lake. Grew up over in Vernon and now live in Florida. Yes...I have warm weather year round...but I miss CNY. Family, friends, seasons, Fall colors, white Christmas. Will be home next week for Thanksgiving...can't wait. I will have to check in from time to time to see how the weather is doing up there. Hi, I've got a home on the south shore near Lakeport and I won't be up until Friday. Can anyone share details on how the area did during the storm? Flooding, etc? My neighbors didn't call me so I'm assuming my boat is still in my lift!
