I lived on the South shore for 21 years. Now retired in Florida. Your beautiful view today makes me long for the days when I could go fishing. If I could afford to move back, I'd be there tomorrow.

jack, i hear you . i'd move back to cicero in a minute if i could. just too old to do it. you never enjoy a place till you move away. hot weather can get old after a while. i keep telling gramps i'm done covering plants so what did we do. yup, covered the place a couple nights ago. it only got down to 32 in plant city. i loved the ice on the strawberries.it's the closest i'll get to winter weather. today it's suppose to warm up to 70's today. we'll see.
there nothing nicer than oneida lake. enjoy your day. i have to admit this winter up north would've been even to much for me. granny lou

Ducks on the lake...

I did see the fowl on the lake this morning. They were present for quite some time and appeared to be a mixture of ducks and some variety of swan. The latter were white and I am not sure what species of they were but definitely not ducks. I have also seen Canada Geese present in the images but not sure if they were there this morning or not. It was a splendid sight! Thanks for sharing the cam...

Great webcam! We need more of these around the lake. A suggestion - could another be placed at Sylvan Beach, and an additional one on the Route 81 bridge at Brewerton? That way, people planning a day on the water could check conditions easily. Safety would be enhanced.
